Moose Safari
– Greenville, Maine is the heart of
one of the greatest concentrations of moose in North America.
Imagine starting your Moosehead Lake adventure canoeing or
kayaking in one of our area ponds in pursuit of a trophy moose
picture. Bring your camera!
Fishing –
Moosehead Lake and
surrounding ponds and streams are noted for their superb brook
trout fishing, lunker lake trout up to 30 pounds, not to mention
high-jumping, landlocked salmon. You bring your fishing license
and gear, and we’ll provide you with a place to store your catch
of the day!
Antiquing –
If you love to rummage through antique shops,
you can hit the shops in Greenville and then hit the road for
a day of antiquing. We can help you plan your route and offer
suggestions for lunch, dinner and sightseeing along the way.
Hiking –
Trails in the Moosehead Lake
Region are too numerous to mention, but they range from easy day
trips to more difficult trails. It’s a great way to view the
beautiful fall foliage. And, the 100-mile woods section of the
Appalachian Trail cuts through the area just south of Greenville.

Swimming – The
beach is less than 200 yards from
us and walking trails to the beach are right outside our door.
Seaplane Tours – Ride with one the area’s flying
services to get a bird’s eye view of Moosehead Lake and Mt.
Katahdin. This is another great way to enjoy the spectacular
colors of our fall foliage. And don’t forget to book your bed and
breakfast accommodations early for the International Seaplane
Fly-In held in September.

Canoeing and Kayaking -
Numerous lakes and streams make

For downhill skiing, Moose Mountain
is minutes away. Cross country skiing is gaining in popularity
each year. Groomed trails are close by. Lily Bay State Park and

from our bed and breakfast.
Dog Sledding
– Enjoy a unique ride with man’s best friend. Local

offer a variety of dog sledding adventures.
Snow
Shoeing –
The Moosehead Lake Region offers
numerous trails for enjoying this traditional winter sport.
Ice
Fishing –
Brook trout, salmon and lake trout
reward the hardy winter angler.
Snowmobiling –
Hundreds of miles of groomed
ITS trails are available. The Moosehead Trail is just a few
feet from our bed and breakfast.
